@machinegunkelly I’ve spent the last year fighting a rare disease.
I’m losing this fight, and I need the chance to thank someone whose music kept me going while I fought an unfair fight.
Please help me get the chance to say thank you to Colson. @machinegunkelly
Me too! I have literally tried everything I can possible think of to get this message to him. I’ve had a sign right at the stage in my wheelchair - Casie came out for a few songs and was right next to me - and I couldn’t bring myself to ask her to help me because it would have invaded her privacy - I feel that that may have been my only shot - but it would have felt wrong so i’m glad i didn’t. At this point - I think the universe has a reason it’s not letting me get this message to him. 🤷♀️

If I get the chance to say thank you, I don't even know if the words will come out because the tears of just having that moment... he has no idea. His music keeps me going. Because I have nothing to left to fight for. I can’t even explain it. I’m getting emotional just writing this. This would mean everything to me.
You would get more than a thank you. You would change my life.
You would literally give me closure to the last thing left unfinished.

@tattood_beauti@machinegunkelly This is the last thing left unfinished that I have to do. I have to make this happen. The words sit in my gut. I can’t let this go unsaid. I appreciate your help 🫶🏻
Please help me get this to Colson
l've been fighting a rare disease for the past year, and it's progressing faster than my doctors can slow or stop. I'm now in chronic respiratory failure.
Some thank-yous are too important to leave unsaid. I just need the chance to thank him.
I don't know Colson and he doesn't know me, but his music was right there with me, keeping me going when everything familiar was being taken from me. It was how I still recognized myself through it all.
His lyrics were my life support while I fought this relentless disease.
It was a battle I had no chance of winning - but it's what kept me fighting, even when the disease was always one step ahead.
They're still holding me up now as I try to make peace with that loss.
