It’s been just three weeks since we rolled out AiDE Agents—the third generation of the AiDE Platform—and the impact has been staggering.

Our engineers are now delivering up to 3x productivity gains across critical tasks like API endpoint migration, new feature development, bug fixes, performance tuning, and regression testing. That is, about 66% of the work is being done by AiDE Agents and the remaining 33% by engineers.

We’re just getting started. The path to 5x productivity is clearly in sight.

First, there was Waterfall. A rigid, linear way of building software that offered no room for iteration. Then came Agile. Responsive, cyclical and iterative, driven by humans.

Now, Agentic.

The Agentic Methodology is real-time, autonomous, and involves clusters of task-specific AI agents working together. Humans review, guide, and course correct. Reducing human effort by an order of magnitude in some cases. Crashing the time it takes to launch a feature—from weeks to hours. And helping deliver code free of technical debt.

One of the key milestones before any successful launch is strong test coverage. We aim for 80% code coverage to ensure the platforms we build are robust, reliable, and ready to perform at scale.

In the past, getting to that threshold required significant time and effort from our most experienced engineers—often right at the critical moment before launch.

Not anymore.

Thanks to AiDE Agents, we’ve been able to transform this process. Recently, we achieved 80% coverage on a 25-year-old codebase filled with complex dependencies—and did it with minimal manual intervention.

This is a game changer. It means we can now approach the final stages of major projects with ease, knowing that we’re reducing risk and avoiding last-minute disruptions.

Today building products involves many steps: defining specifications, design and development, integrating with legacy codebases, and quality engineering (QE). But too often, projects stall after significant investment because QE uncovers critical issues, preventing a successful launch.

With AI, access to information and expertise is commoditised. The way humans get organised based on their expertise is now irrelevant.

The world of AI Agents is even more exciting and frightening. Transforming the way companies will be organised. Till now it was about humans using AI as a toolset. Now it’s about AI agents with humans as a tool. The roles are flipped.

This project posed significant challenges, including the complexity of Delphi, legacy code, and multilingual requirements—factors that would typically demand highly experienced developers. However, AiDE delivered remarkable results:
•A reduction of over 50% in time and effort,
•Near-complete test coverage,
•Seamless support for multiple languages.

Enterprises face an increasing challenge with the release of new GenAI models. How can we ensure that the GenAI solution we choose delivers reliable, high-quality results in our specific context?

Making the wrong choice can be costly—whether it’s a chatbot generating incorrect answers or a code generation tool producing unusable code. This can be resolved only with rigorous testing, but testing GenAI requires a different approach from the testing of traditional software.

Unlike traditional software, which relies on well defined inputs and outputs, GenAI is non-deterministic. A chatbot might provide different but equally correct answers, or a code generator might produce functional code that still requires manual adjustments. Therefore, when we test GenAI solutions, we have to evaluate more than just “right” or “wrong.” In addition we have to address factors like alignment with the knowledge base, hallucinations, consistency, and the amount of human effort required to refine the output.

To help solve these challenges, we’ve developed the AiDE® Evaluation Framework—an approach that reimagines Test-Driven Development (TDD) for GenAI. Our Evals-First Approach allows enterprises to:

1. Create validation datasets based on their own knowledge and codebases.

2. Configure and compare multiple GenAI models or solutions.

3. Measure performance of each model / solution against the validation datasets.

This approach allows enterprises to evaluate GenAI solutions quickly and accurately, reducing the risk of costly errors from subjective, manual assessments.
