Cross-chain isn’t a dream anymore.
It’s live.
And it’s called PACT.
I couldn't agree more with Wietse. Although excited about the XRPL ecosystem and the upcoming developments, I'm also very confused and disappointed on how Ripple is trying to push everything with no transparency. These continuous pivots and changes by Ripple are not only unprofessional (in my opinion), because they lack transparency and clear communication, but also happening at the expense of builders, collaboration, and decentralization.
There is a big miscommunication and a big gap between Ripple and the rest of the community + builders. Ripple still acts as the arbiter and controlling entity over XRPL, while that shouldn't be the case. Where is the collaboration? Where is the community and builders involvement? Why a single for-profit entity is trying to push their agenda on XRPL? Why the lack of support and communications with other projects that have been building on XRPL for years? Why the bad managed incentive programs? What happened with the XRPLF and what will actually be the role of the new foundation? We don't really see any real answers or transparency, which I believe the XRPL community deserves it. @JoelKatz are you in favor of this?
