I wish he would’ve kept this part in the final cut of Ghosts. I could go on forever abt the symbolism in this scene alone, how the children putting the pieces of his damaged soul back together shows how he believed the only way to restore the hatred that destroys not only yourself, but the others around you, was to love, be innocence and be free from moral flaw.
The story telling in Ghosts is what makes it his magnum opus.
