BREAKING: Yesterday evening, a prominent bandit commander, Kachalla Mu’azu, and six other members of his group were reportedly killed in a clash with a rival bandit faction near Mada in Gusau LGA, Zamfara State.

Local sources said the clash happened around 7:30 p.m. as Mu’azu and his men were returning from Yankara market, where they were reportedly ambushed by the rival group.

Mu’azu was said to be involved in attacks and other criminal activities across Gusau and parts of Zamfara and neighbouring Katsina State.

The identities of the six other bandits killed have not been confirmed.

Will Mu’azu’s death weaken the criminal groups operating around Gusau, or will another commander quickly fill the gap he leaves behind?

How do you choose to fight for another man's country when your own country is facing insecurity?

The 🇳🇬 Government should also consider making 🇳🇬 Army service (NAS) compulsory for unmarried Nigerians.

Let Single Nigerians serve the Army, acquire discipline and practical skills, and contribute meaningfully to national security.

After 3 years of service, they should be allowed to leave the 🇳🇬 Army if they choose to settle down and get married.

Instead of leaving millions of young people idle, let’s create a structured system that makes national service genuinely meaningful.
