I’m rewatching the hallway footage. I don’t think I’ve watched it in about a year. Every time it gets worse and worse. Between the sounds of the bullets and how many rounds were fired in those classrooms, to the officers sitting on their ass…..the whole thing is fucking terrible.

I sit and try to make sense of why these officers didn’t do anything, and I can’t fathom why they refused to act.

To be honest, we know why, they themselves didn’t want to get shot, but their cowardice only magnifies the terror that these children had to face.

Why the fuck wasn’t my son worth more to these cops?

Why would they take an oath claiming they would save lives and protect and serve, and then turn around and only protect and serve themselves.

Between the overwhelming grief of seeing my son’s last moments, to the unparalleled rage as these officers sat on their asses, I’ve been brought to tears.

Tears while they are still employed, some getting raises, others running for political positions. Tears while they walk around without a care in the world. Tears as their lives haven’t changed a bit, but parents buried their children because of their inaction.
