The message to the world is clear. Israel, with the cover of the United States, can carry out a genocide and kill whoever it wants in broad daylight with no international accountability.
This will soon change God willing.
I really with my whole heart wish these journalists had the moral decency to not frame these actions as something criminal. Language matters. “Broke into” is unacceptable. These are people who are under full barrage with no help from global leaders. We are all witnessing a genocide while the media and many global leaders who are “pro democracy & human rights” are actively (like the old heads they are) trying to use propaganda to convince us it isn’t happening. Words matter. These are people in a desperate situation taking matters into their own hands and accessing the food that has been donated to them and withheld. It is their RIGHT. It is there for them!
An English message for an Arabic-speaking population whose communications you’ve already cut off is how you know this is propaganda for Western audiences.
I visited the site of the genocide memorial in Srebrenica, Bosnia years ago and the entire time I just could not comprehend it. The stories, the thousands of grave markers. I just kept thinking “how did we let this happen?”
Over the last few days I’ve seen my question answered.
when qatar put restrictions on nudity & alcohol, western media is feeling “oppressed” but when France had law against headscarf, UK colonizing half world, Muslims dying in Palestine & china detained muslims, noone wanted to speak about human rights
I do feel for my friends because I have this deep, primal need to be dramatic so I could text “I am so fucking upset right now” and it could be very serious or it could be about the texture of chickpea pasta
