Listened to 8th graders present a culminating project on immigration through dialogues with partners today. The kids did fantastic!! Proof that with discourse/ writing scaffolds, activating funds of knowledge, and room for creativity, all kids can reach mastery of a standard 👏🏻
Sat in a meeting today where educators shared out on the growth a SLIFE student has made in just 2 months.. This is what happens when you embrace a student’s funds of knowledge + use linguistically appropriate supports. Equal access happens, magic happens👏🏻
