MYANMAR: “Myanmar’s earthquake might have been over in mere moments but the impacts of a disaster like that reverberate long after tragedy strikes. Children in Myanmar are still dealing with fear, grief and loss," @ArshadSave.

Families in #Afghanistan are facing crisis after crisis, from earthquakes and floods to climate shocks and the returnee influx. As winter approaches, their needs are more urgent than ever.
@ArshadSave reflects on the impact of earthquake in eastern Afghanistan.
I wholeheartedly stand with @MoazzamTMalik for speaking truth and refusing to stay silent. His call for the United Nations to step in and fulfill its moral and legal obligations is overdue - the world can't afford complacency. accountability and justice
Thank you, Moazzam.
It's time to break Israel's #Gaza blockade
Children are suffering famine and war. Aid sits across the border
The world created humanitarian lifelines for Syria, Sudan, Myanmar, etc
Why not "Lifeline Rafah"?
Will leaders meeting at UN step up? My op-ed:

ASIA: "Monsoon floods in Asia are a yearly occurrence, but the scale and intensity of this year’s flooding in multiple countries across the region is extremely worrying. This should be a wake-up call for all of us," @ArshadSave@save_children

“This crisis is not the first crisis that the children and people of #Afghanistan are facing—this is crisis after crisis.” – @ArshadSave, Asia Regional Director @save_children, on the devastating earthquake in #Kunar.
Absolutely. The devastating monsoon floods across Asia this year are not just seasonal – they’re a signal. Climate impacts are accelerating, and vulnerable communities are paying the price. Time to invest in resilience, early action, and child-centred solutions.

Promised support has evaporated. Clinics are closing, children are going hungry, and education programs are collapsing. This isn’t a natural decline in need - it’s a man-made disaster, the result of deliberate choices to disengage. Silence and inaction are no longer neutral.
What’s unfolding in Afghanistan is not simply a funding crisis - it is a political failure. The international community’s quiet retreat, driven by shifting priorities and fatigue, is leaving millions behind. harm.

Important conversations taking place as we explore stronger collaboration between @qcharityglobal & @Save_Children. In fragile contexts like Afg, joint efforts and predictable, adaptable financing can make the difference between surviving and thriving for millions of children.
Ms. Gabriella Wyman, Chief Operating Officer at Save the Children, underscored the importance of flexible funding and collective action, especially as the humanitarian sector faces unprecedented financial shocks and uncertainty. She stressed that sustainable support and strong partnerships are vital to ensuring children’s survival, growth, and a safer, more stable future.

Proud to see our partnership with @qcharityglobal advancing critical dialogue on Afghanistan. Strengthening collaboration with regional actors is essential to ensure children have access to basic rights
As part of global collaboration to strengthen children’s resilience in crisis zones, Qatar Charity, in cooperation with Save the Children, organized a joint session titled “Building Resilient Childhoods in Afghanistan”, with the participation of officials from both organizations. The session was attended by representatives from diplomatic missions, Qatari government bodies, the United Nations, and partners in humanitarian and development work.

At least 74 children have been reported killed in #Gaza in the first week of 2025 by Israeli airstrikes - this is around 10 children per day⚠️
We are by children’s side in Gaza and we’ll keep calling for an immediate and definitive ceasefire.
This is the only way to save lives.
@EUinAfghanistan@RaffaellaIodic2 I am so sorry to hear of Raffaella's passing. Raffaella provided steer and leadership to the international effort in Afghanistan at a very difficult time. She was a wonderful human and will be much missed.
