This artwork convinced me to go all in on @Polygon1993 !
Seing a digital artist being able to produce such high quality physical art mixing material and techniques I’ve rarely seen made me want to say I wanna work with that guy.
It’s cool art made by a cool guy and pretty sure being a collector of his work make you one of the cool kids. It as simple as that. This work is the first of (soon to believe) flag ship 1/1/X physical série and will be in my opinion a must have in any good collection.
The more I get to see how this guy work the more I know my investment as a producer and curator is worth it and that I can look any collector straight in the eye and tell them that owning a work of polygon is a great investment.
He’s a professional artist that have a great career in web2, a fantastic track record in sales both in trad art and NFTs, a variety of source of income that’s make me say he can keep operating as an artist for decades to come without having to make terrible decision for his collectors. Being able to ensure survival as artist is what drive long term value anyways.
I think one of the reason for that too is tbh at he is a collector as well he gets it, he like nice object not just the idea of it. Even the way he make his work sourcing vintage hardwares from obscure japenese online marketplace.
I have a moto « I rather work with an artist I can fully trust rather than one of the most coveted that I can’t rely on » and not respecting it has came back to bite me a few time. It’s great to have a guy that make such good work and who has as much respect for my work than I do for his.

Super stoked to officially announce:
on July 4th, Artverse opens Koi No Yokan, the first Parisian solo show of artist POLYGON1993 curated by yours truly.
After selling out across half a dozen galleries in Korea and Japan, this marks his first major step into the Parisian trad art world.
The show is hybrid by design:
— Immersive room downstairs: projection + new media installations
— White cube upstairs: new, never-before-seen mid-to-large scale physical works
— A dedicated collectibles section: an exclusive card drop tied to an upcoming NFT project, plus a new batch from his playable TCG Phantasm (alpha previewed at NFC Lisbon)
Beyond the opening, expect activations for the Japanese, crypto, TCG, NFT and trad art communities.
My goal: make this the most successful, cross-community show in the gallery’s history. I think we can pull it off.
DM me to attend the preview or get the catalog.
PS: we also have a big surprise coming up !
