@OliveMugenda Thank you Professor for your kind message and support to our family during the illness that bedevilled my dear wife, Gertrude. May God shine His face on you.

IMPORTANT: The Kuresoi violence is a textbook lesson in political backfiring. If anyone still had doubts about who sponsors and sustains goonism in Kenya, yesterday cleared it up completely.
Seeing rival UDA camps deploy the same rungus-wielding youth against their own colleagues is peak poetic justice.
They built a system of violence to intimidate others, only for that exact system to be turned against them in their own backyard.
This administration is playing a dangerous game. They assume that if they pay a goon, that goon belongs to them forever.
They forget that a rented mob has no true loyalty, only an appetite. The moment the internal power dynamics shift, the weapons they distributed are turned on the very people who bought them.
This toxic culture of weaponizing our youth for political leverage needs to stop immediately. The sponsors of this violence are completely blind to the monsters they are creating.
It's time to demand absolute accountability before this structural lawlessness consumes the entire country.
🚨 BREAKING: James Orengo has reportedly revealed that LSK President Faith Odhiambo is set to run for Nairobi Women Representative.
She joins a crowded field already featuring Millicent Omanga and Karen Nyamu.
Objectively, Faith Odhiambo ticks nearly every box people claim to want in a leader: education, competence, experience, eloquence, and integrity. On paper, she is arguably overqualified for the position.
But this is Kenya.
It reminds me of an argument made by Socrates in Plato's Gorgias. He compared a doctor and a pastry chef: the doctor offers painful treatments that improve health, while the pastry chef offers sweets that people enjoy, that taste good but ultimately cause harm.
If you let the crowd decide who is better, Socrates argued, many would choose the sweet vendor over the doctor.
That allegory feels uncomfortably familiar in our politics.
Time and again, we reject competence and reward popularity, tribal alignments, celebrity status, slogans, and cash.
Will Nairobians actually surprise us this time and vote for substance over hype? Or are we too addicted to the sweets? Let's be honest.
Italy's Meloni responds to Trump:
President Trump, these constant, unprovoked attacks are senseless. As for my popularity, being your friend certainly has not helped it, nor does it depend on my relationship with you.
My popularity depends on my ability to defend Italy’s national interest, and that is exactly what I have always done. That is also what I did regarding the American military bases in Italy. Their use is governed by agreements that we have always respected, and that cannot be violated as long as I am Prime Minister.
Italy remains a sovereign nation. In any case, my popularity is none of your concern. I suggest you focus on yours.
We celebrated the 79th birthday of a good troublemaker, teacher, activist, THE Chief Justice Emeritus Mutunga. A fearless defender of justice, democracy, and integrity, his life and leadership continue to inspire many of us. Happy Birthday, Comrade. History will be kind to you.

Kenya is Ksh 12.821T in fraud.
This is why the political class trembles when they hear a debate about Odious Debts.
