@Jake_Hanrahan Given the advanced preparation and Aliyev’s clear disregard for the lives of normal Azeris, I wouldn’t be shocked if Azerbaijan staged a mine explosion on its on troops in an attempt to gin up a pretext for war
@davidphinney@LukeDCoffey Azerbaijan literally fits that list to a T, and @LukeDCoffey is one of their biggest supporters in the U.S. I’m utterly baffled that he doesn’t see the irony
@davidphinney@LukeDCoffey care to explain why you (rightfully) support Ukraine so ardently, but when it comes to Azerbaijan you become a cheerleader of “unprovoked, savage invasions, countless war crimes, the abduction of children and genocide on the edge of Europe”?
It’s ridiculous the West, esp policymakers & officials are not more supportive of Azerbaijan, a crucial US, EU, Israel ally (esp in security, energy, proliferation) while our top 3 enemies Iran Russia & China help Armenia & proxies trying to destabilize & isolate our Western ally
@noclador Yeah, blame the people trying to raise awareness of horrific war crimes rather than the people who committed those war crimes in the first place. That makes total sense
@don_Chico69@noclador Maybe not 100% clean. But pretending that Armenia and Azerbaijan are anywhere near equally guilty is simply not true. There’s no evidence that Armenian soldiers engaged in the kind of horrific and inhuman acts that we’re seeing videos of from Azeri soldiers
@noclador Ah, but the people who shot and bayoneted wounded POWs (and many other atrocious things like beheading living people) are very interested in peace I’m sure. No racism or hatred there
Exceedingly horrific war crimes committed by Azerbaijani soldiers going around on Telegram the last few days, and even worse today. Beheadings, mutilations, torture and execution of prisoners. The latest video I've seen just about made me sick.
