Hi artists, if you sell on Shopify, we can help you find if your art has been used to train AI!!

Hi all!
We've been busy on Glaze related projects. Happy to announce that webglaze, the Glaze web service is now ready for new users. If you already have a GPU and it works well, then please keep using that. If you have a mac, or no GPU or no computer even, webglaze can help. 🧵
I can’t for the life of me find the source, but I’ve seen reports going around that training models on AI generated works is making the models worse, hence why they would want to filter out works that seem AI generated
Glaze still provides stronger protection!
Hi Nef, thank you for using ArtShield! I want to make sure we’re not giving a false impression of what we can do. We simply replicate the watermark SD adds to its generated images. It’s a speculative bet that scrapers in the future will filter out images with the watermark (1/?)
@Pridebycreation@axl99@ZakugaMignon@ArtShieldTeam ArtShield watermarks the image. It's really subtle, but the idea is that it should be borderline imperceptible to the human eye, yet a huge pain in the ass for AI to try and take from. Compare my recent drawing with and without the ArtShield (screenshots). See the purple squares?
Glaze isn't the only anti GML/GAI tool out there, there is also @ArtShieldTeam. Feel free to try their method out as well, with or without Glaze, the former is recommended by both dev teams.
Glaze made huge improvements!
Glaze prevents AI from learning your style, and it’s the best way to protect your art from AI training. Please download and check out their new release!
Another big day. The big big Glaze 1.0 update is out. New core optimization function makes Glaze MUCH more subtle. Now works well for most flat-color styles, comics, anime, cartoons. Nearly invisible on most textured art images. Also brand new website! https://t.co/DH6vZXBfOO
Remember to do this to help regulate AI according to Artists not big tech.
There is only four more days left to fill this out.
Still likely one of the most important things you can do.
If you're interested in doing something about the AI companies, I want to talk directly to you all today about strategy.
We have seen the AI companies meet with the White House. If you have looked at the investors for companies like OpenAI, you have also seen they are very rich and embedded venture capitalists, they have the kind of serious money that pulls strings in government. If we leave them alone to 'figure this out' themselves, they are going to institute weak legislation that further entrenches their lead. We will never catch up with them.
I don't think there's anyone in federal government we can rely on to fight this battle for us. If we want something done, we have to DEMAND action. The best avenue for many people to demand action is our State Attorneys General.
We have a State Attorney General for every one of the fifty states. They each, individually, have the power to bring charges against these AI companies on all our behalf. *This is literally their job.* As you will see below, they regularly take action for far pettier issues, like suing companies over annoying robocalls. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they address robocalls, but the issue with generative AI systems is far, far more pressing, and right up their alley. They should all be focused on this right now if they truly serve us.
Further, as you will see in the image, State Attorneys General can form *multi-state coalitions* to deal with serious issues like this that affect the entire country. They have the power to handle this issue. *Like the members of the federal government however, they will do nothing unless we force their hands.*
You can file a complaint with your State AG, and you can file a complaint with the state where the company does business, in the case of OpenAI for example, CA. You can do both. It will take you about twenty minutes to do both. Take the time to do this today, tell your friends, file those complaints.
The plan is to file so many complaints they are forced to take public action. Forcing the SAGs to file lawsuits on top of the private lawsuits already being filed is the win condition. This is the way.
@LuzifersChoice Yup for sure, a lot of those are on our radar! 📡
Pinterest is hard because it seems like even if you remove a pin, you can’t break the link to the image. Do you think it would still help to simply know which of your Pinterest images were scraped?
@LuzifersChoice Twitter has more, but we need to investigate factor number 3. Elno is charging $42,000 a month for the API we would need for Twitter 🫠, so support is pending further investigation on workarounds
@LuzifersChoice I don’t remember Instagram being a huge source of scraped images (but don’t quote me on this, I’m not looking at the numbers right now)
Hi, we've gotten a lot of new followers who just learned about our watermark tool. Our recommendation is watermark first, Glaze second. This is because Glaze provides stronger protection, and using it last best preserves its protection.
@AaranTheArtist Your art is only stored on our side for a brief amount of time so we can watermark it, and so you can download the watermarked image. Afterwards, your data is automatically deleted from our servers.
@AaranTheArtist Hi Aaran, thank you for your question. Our tool doesn’t require you to download anything. You upload your art, and we perform all computations on our end. You can watermark from your phone, tablet, or computer!
@Solaryargh Glaze is a tool built by some awesome people at UChicago to protect your art style from AI training.
It applies some changes to your art that confuses AI art generators about what your style is. Check it out: https://t.co/I71zm4lBz1
We also launched our new Sweeper tool! Use it to see if images from your Shopify have been used to train AI art generators. Then remove your data or poison the dataset 😈

We've made improvements to the original SD watermark so that it's more robust against compression. In our limited testing, it also survives Glaze.
