Arts Out East supports creative activities in East Auckland, including Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga, Botany, Flat Bush and everything in the in-between.
We were able to host our first ever networking event in June this year with local creatives, organisations and community leaders. This was a free Sunday Brunch at Te Tuhi where new connections were made over good food and coffee. Thank you to everyone that came! #artsouteast
Earlier this year, we met with the Indian Kiwi Positive Ageing Charitable Trust and learnt about the work that they do with youth and seniors. We were therefore able to help them with their workshop and event costs during the month of June. #ikpact#artsouteast#tetuhiart
The Howick Youth Council did another amazing job this year, leading their own youth art exhibition. It was great to work alongside them, helping them with management advise and exhibition install/deinstall. We are already looking forward to next year's event! #artsouteast
Earlier this year, we supported the viewing of Julie Zhu's 'East Meets East' at local libraries as well as knitting workshops by Wesley J Fourie. The support for both projects were through artist fees, production costs and connecting creatives with venue locations. #artsouteast
Many hands make light work. One of our unique projects this year involved artist Joel Nicholls, the donation of a piano from Fundraise Factory and local Howick business owner Wally Rice. We were happy to have been able to fund Joel's artist fee and resources 🙂. #artsouteast
This was such a great event for the Botany shoppers back in March this year. Youth Arts NZ led and showcased young creative talent from East Auckland 🙂.

Larry's passion to experiment with coffee, tea and wine as painting mediums has made him into a prolific artist. We were happy to support his vision of making his many works accessible through the publication of his second book as well as his book launch at Hawthorne Dene cafe.
