Subject: Clarification Regarding Power Outages – Lambi Gali, Udhampur

Sir/Madam,

With reference to the grievance received regarding unscheduled power interruptions in Lambi Gali near Sabzi Mandi, Udhampur, the matter has been examined based on the report furnished by field staff dated 22.08.2026.

It is submitted that:

The 11KV Dabbar feeder emanating from Receiving Station Devika remained off from 2:20 AM to 2:40 AM and again from 6:46 AM to 9:03 AM due to emergency shutdown at 33/11KV R/Stn Devika.

An emergency shutdown of DT Code 235 and 240, feeding Mukharzi Bazar and Lambi Gali, was availed by NTPC from approximately 8:AM to 4 PM for replacement of old, mutilated and outlived conductor under RDSS which was in critical condition and frequently snapping.

The replacement of conductor and laying of LT cable was necessitated as an emergency measure to avoid any electrical accident in a very critical and crowded market area. The work was half executed earlier and completed during this shutdown.

Presently, power supply is being maintained smoothly through the 11KV Dabbar feeder. However, occasional feeder put-offs are necessitated by STD for repair and maintenance of equipment at R/Stn Devika.
