India enters the big 5 in manufacturing toppling South Korea. At current growth rates, even considering rupee depreciation, India will displace Japan to become the world's third largest manufacturer (> $1 trillion) by 2029.
Also,
1960: $3 billion -> 2015: $328 billion
2015: $328 billion -> 2025: $781 billion
So India has added as much in manufacturing in the last 10 years as it added in the last 70+ years.
Speaking at the Bharat Innovates programme in France. Innovation, technology and the aspirations of our youth are driving India’s transformation and shaping the future.

Culture is a key foundation of the strong India-French partnership.
At ‘Bharat Innovates’, President Macron and I viewed an art exhibition by two French artists, Théophile de Bascher and Thibault de la Lance, who had recently visited Jaipur for an Art Residency.
India and France will keep working together to boost economic ties. The India-EU FTA provides unparalleled momentum in this regard. We are also launching an Economic Security Dialogue to ensure stronger supply chains in critical minerals and technology. Other areas where we will work closely are healthcare and education.
Today’s talks with my friend, President Macron were exceptionally productive. Considering the longstanding friendship between our nations, we have decided to elevate our ties to a Special Global Strategic Partnership.
Our talks covered ways to deepen cooperation in key sectors like defence, technology, space, security, counter terrorism, innovation and more.
@EmmanuelMacron
I’m grateful to my friend, President Macron for taking part in ‘Bharat Innovates.’ He shared valuable points during his speech earlier today. India and France will keep working closely when it comes to tech and innovation.
