Today, Arvind Foundation had the honour of welcoming Hon'ble Union Minister Shri Amit Shah near our Santej facility, home to Arvind’s largest manufacturing ecosystem, to inaugurate our Integrated Lake & Ecosystem Restoration initiative at Khatraj lake.

The Ecosystem restoration initiative reflects Arvind’s long-term CSR commitment to being a good neighbour by creating sustainable and livable ecosystems around its plant operations. In collaboration with the Khatraj Gram Panchayat, we are working on the restoration of Khatraj Lake across 15.5 acres to create a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive public space for the community.

The lakefront will include a 700-metre walking track, an open gymnasium, a nature education centre, a children’s play area, and a 150 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant to keep the lake’s water clean.

Large-scale plantation and ecological restoration have also remained key pillars of our development approach in the region. So far, we have planted and maintained over 3 lakh trees, contributing to an estimated 15,748 tCO₂e carbon mitigation, equivalent to the annual carbon emissions of nearly 7,800 people.

This year, we aim to undertake plantation of 1.25 lakh additional trees in support of the Hon’ble Union Minister’s vision of planting 1 crore trees across #Gandhinagar.

Alongside environmental restoration, our focus has also been on strengthening community institutions and expanding access to opportunity. The Hon’ble Minister inaugurated the rebuilt Khatraj Panchayat building today, reinforcing the importance of strong local governance in enabling long-term community development.

We believe development must strengthen both ecosystems and the people who shape them. Our commitment extends to communities across Kalol, Kadi and neighbouring districts of Gujarat. Through mobile digital classrooms, we have engaged over 8,000 students in Kalol, while our open schooling initiative has supported more than 500 school dropouts in continuing their education. Our work in livelihoods has trained over 3500 farmers in sustainable farming, while collectivising over 300 women into women into a women-led Farmer Producer Organisation.

Together, these initiatives reflect our continued commitment to environmental stewardship, community development and institution building in Gujarat.

This move marks our entry into the world's largest technical textile market and reinforces our strategy of leveraging integrated supply chains to navigate global trade dynamics.

✅ With this deal, Arvind will gain access to a massive TAM in the USA of approximately USD 2.5 Bn across all the current segments of DALCO.

✅ The deal is both margin and EPS accretive from day one, backed by Dalco-GFT’s ~$100 Mn top-line, ~17% EBITDA margin, and ~40% ROCE.

✅ It expands our footprint by 75+ active customers and secures an 88% sole-source position

Congratulations to the Government of India on the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with New Zealand today. Concluded in just nine months, this is among the fastest deals India has finalised in recent years and a genuinely meaningful milestone in our trade journey.

The agreement gives Indian exports duty-free access into the New Zealand market, removing tariffs across categories and creating a real opening for labour-intensive sectors like textiles, apparel, leather and footwear. With bilateral trade targeted to double to $5 billion over the next five years, this opens up meaningful headroom for Indian businesses to scale in a high quality market.

This along with the other agreements India has signed in recent months, opens up an incredible opportunity. The task now is to use these agreements at the scale they actually make possible.

Our Vice Chairman, Mr. Punit Lalbhai, recently spoke at FICCI@100's National Executive Committee Meeting in Ahmedabad, on where Indian industry goes next in the sustainability transition. A meaningful moment for the Arvind family, as @ficci_india, an institution Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai helped found in 1927, enters its centenary year.

During the discussion, Mr. Lalbhai highlighted that sustainability stops being a cost the moment it is folded into the core business. At Arvind Limited, close to 90% of sustainability use cases have proven accretive to the bottomline.

He also noted that the next frontier is collaboration, where companies across sectors and geographies share the weight of solving supply chain emissions, cleaner logistics, and resource efficiency.

On India's policy environment, he said, ”India is already creating the right conditions for this shift. In states such as Gujarat, manufacturers benefit from enabling policy frameworks that make renewable energy projects, including solar plants, easier to set up alongside manufacturing growth. The opportunity now is to scale these advantages faster and translate them into long-term industrial competitiveness."
