Babies lose roughly 3-4% on day 1, 3% on day 2. Further loss is variable, and any loss over 10% is significant. But it is much better to identify risk factors and support breastfeeding early on, rather than reacting to excessive weight loss.

@first1001days Breast feeding support. It is heartbreaking that women are not supported to reach their goals. It needs a societal change and investment.

@millihill Perhaps it would help me understand? I love your books and recommend them to anyone. I really can’t understand the concept of why being inclusive is harmful to women? I am willing to try to understand the other views though? Sorry I really did not mean to offend anyone?

@millihill Is there not room for people to identify as non binary or which ever sex they wish ? Yes the majority of our clients of course are women but I does using inclusive language in addition to this harm or distract from women ? I am perhaps just naive? I do consider myself a feminist?

@millihill I think Midwives want to respect informed choice, culture, belief and parents wishes. I feel quite disappointed Millie Hill doesn’t understand those fundamental concepts!
