The 2026 Endless Mountains Adventure Race is presented by Rootstock Racing and supported by MRS Packrafting. The event begins on Monday, June 22 at 10:00am EST. 

The Endless Mountains AR is taking place in Vermont as the only ARWS Qualifier in the USA this year.

The race has a stacked field of top US and Canadian teams and racers, and for the first time, two very strong European teams will be on the start line.

Can Bull Adventure team or Gymcity AR challenge the defending champions Team BendRacing/4HourFuel?

🏆🇪🇪 Tactical Foodpack are the champions of the 2026 Malacara Amazonas Expedition Race! 🌴🔥

The Estonian team was simply phenomenal.

During the first days of the race, they suffered heavily from the extreme heat, Amazon humidity, dehydration and heat exhaustion. At several moments they had to slow down significantly just to keep moving forward.

And maybe that is exactly what makes this victory even more impressive.

This is a team coming from a freezing cold country and facing one of the hottest, wettest and most challenging rainforests on Earth — an environment completely different from what they are used to.

But little by little they adapted, recovered and delivered an incredible comeback throughout the race until they secured the victory 🛶🚵‍♂️🌧️

That is the true power of adventure racing: never giving up, understanding when it is necessary to slow down… and continuing forward until the very end.

🇧🇷🔥 Kailas Fuga crosses the finish line of the Malacara Amazonas Expedition Race after delivering an absolutely incredible performance.

They led the race for almost the entire event, racing with consistency and strength from start to finish.

The team paddled extremely well, managed nutrition perfectly, moved efficiently through the trekking sections and impressed everyone with their speed during the canoe stages and transitions 🚣‍♂️🌴

And even after the bad luck of having both mandatory cameras fail — resulting in the penalty that removed them from the race lead — they still finished very close to Tactical Foodpack, proving the extremely high level of the Brazilian team.

More than performance… it was a demonstration of endurance, strategy and true adventure spirit 👏🔥

Tactical Foodpack AR Team paddled up the waterfront finish of Malacara Race to take the win.

The Estonian/Swiss team had a strong race, pushing through early difficulties and staying strong in the later stages to take their chance and move into the lead on the final stage.

For a European team to win in the hot and humid conditions of the Amazon is remarkable and the team will now take a free place at the World Championship in Corsica with Raid in France

Malacara Amazonas Expedition Race during trekking around the village of Tatuyô.

The stretch was about 10 kilometers... but the amazon forest turned this into a nearly 3:40 commute even for the team in front of the test 😳

Extremely closed forest, little visibility, completely flooded areas, difficult crossings and a lot of technical navigation made this trek look like a real expedition into the jungle.

Much of the course happened during the day... and the rest already entering at night, which has increased the difficulty even more 🌧️🌿

On the way: alligators, snakes, water everywhere and a forest that does not rest at all.
