A friend asked me what this ethanol issue is.

He owns 10yr old maruti car. i just asked him whether he osbserved any mileage change recently. he told me that it used to be 15 kmpl in 2021-22, recently it came to down to 11 kmpl and he thought that its some problem with his old car and so he got CNG kit fitted to reduce fuel costs.

i told him that we are getting E20 petrol for an over year, not pure petrol. Interestingly so far, he believed that he was getting pure petrol from 🟢 green color nozzle at petrol bunks ⛽️.

99% of normal consumers too believe the same. They just go to fuel station and fill pertrol from petrol (green) nozzle and fill & go. Here is where Govt played very smart. The moment they display extraordinary transparency and labels like E20, even commoners will get awereness and ask questions about ethanol & discuss pros & cons. Hence govt is rolling out ethanol blends without even displaying labels at the fuel station.

we are living in a time, where a decent achievement by govt is widely publicized with full front page ads. but why E20 rollout is not widely publicized if govt really thinks it an achievement?

Toyota aka "Toyato" advises people to fill petrol from "authorised" and "reputed" fuel stations only.
I request @PetroleumMin @HardeepSPuri @IndianOilcl @HPCL @BPCLimited @Jiobpofficial @NayaraEnergy to share a list of "unauthorised" fuel stations operating across the country so that people can avoid using them. @Toyota_India seems to have some clue about these pumps.
Also, @PetroleumMin should answer if running an "unauthorised" petrol pump is permitted in India. If not, what action has it taken against such "unauthorised" pumps? @HMOIndia pl see if the petroleum ministry needs help in law enforcement.
