When we march on UWC campus on Friday we didn't know that the next day we would wake up to a near fatal GBVF case where a UWC student stabbed their young wife 20 x in full view of others.

The media is an important institution that needs to be respected and allowed freedom. However media also needs to be self aware and self critical in their role and contribution to society.
There is no #mediafreedom without a diversity of voices and perspectives reflected.
