@CanBball beat Portugal 88-49 in their opening game in the @FIBA U19 Women's World Cup.

Their win was led by @umichwbball's combo of Syla Swords (Sudbury, ON - 18 PTS) & Mila Holloway (10 PTS)

Swords and Holloway's maize and blue chemistry is paying off worldwide!

🎙 Tomorrow morning,
I'll be back doing PxP for my 15th @FIBA tournament - the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup!

I'll call a handful of games (starting with @CanBball vs Portugal at 8:30am ET) until the quarter-finals next Friday on the FIBA YouTube channel.

One word to describe @usabjnt in this year's @FIBA U19 World Cup - redemption.

USA wins their ninth #FIBAU19 gold medal after defeating Germany 109-76. @DBB_Basketball ends up with silver - their first ever medal in U19 play.

@Swiss_Basket are off to their first @FIBA U19 quarter-final game in team history.

Switzerland defeated France (2023 U19 silver medalist) 86-79 in overtime and will face New Zealand for a spot in the semi-finals on Friday.

@FIBA U19 World Cup had an upset, some huge stats and plays yesterday!

Hannes Steinbach helped Germany get the 75-68 win over Slovenia in a rematch of the U18 EuroBasket semi-final. He had a double-double (19 PTS, 19 RBS) and a poster jam to cap off the game.

When I was the sideline reporter for the Winnipeg vs Brampton game back on June 6th, the hospitality and professionalism within the team operations and broadcast was top notch. The CEBL is only going to blossom more with their product and players!
