இந்திய சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வரல���ற்றில், தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு என்றும் ஒரு தனித்துவமான, மகத்தான இடமுண்டு. அந்நிய ஆதிக்கத்திற்கு எதிராக அச்சமின்றி எழுந்த முதல் குரலும், விடுதலை வேட்கையை மக்கள் மனங்களில் விதைத்த வீர உணர்வும் இந்த தமிழ் மண்ணிலிருந்தே வலிமை பெற்றன. இத்தகைய வீரத்தையும், தேசப்பற்றையும் விதைத்திட்ட தியாக சீலர்கள் கண்ட கனவுகளை நிறைவேற்றுவோம்.

நாட்டின் ஒற்றுமை, ஒருமைப்பாடு மற்றும் இறையாண்மையைப் பேணி���்காத்து, அனைத்து குடிமக்களின் நலனையும் முன்னிறுத்தி, சமத்துவமும் சமூகநீதியும் ஜனநாயகமும் தழைத்தோங்கும் இந்தியாவை உருவாக்கிட இந்நன்னாளில் உறுதியேற்போம்.
