The Deputy Inspector General in Charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, together with Mr. Africa S. Apollo, Head of Interpol Regional Bureau Nairobi and Chief Executive of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization, and Ms. Tina Mykkanen, the Technical Expert, UNODC ROEA, has officially opened a four day meeting of EAPCCO member countries as part of the Empowering Every Badge Project Phase Two at ##RwandaPolice General Headquarters, Kacyiru.

DCG Ujeneza highlighted that the assessment of Phase One of the Empowering Every Badge Project has shown that capacity building for our institutions to strengthen gender equality is necessary across our region, and barriers remain in recruitment, retention, career progression to high leadership responsibilities, among others. That is why this meeting, which brings together policymakers at high levels of our institutions, is very important. @eapcco_ctcoe @UN_Women @UNODC
