Our 40s and 50s lifted the Cups in Cardiff yesterday.

The 50s ran out 7-1 winners, while the 40s secured another famous victory.

That makes it 6 trophies in total for all of our vets teams this season.

🏆 CUP FINAL DAY 🏆

Tomorrow both our 40s and 50s sides are in Welsh Cup Final action at the University Playing Fields, Llanrumney, Cardiff, looking to join our Over 45s in completing league and cup doubles.

The 50s take on Newport Veterans at 2pm.

Then at 4pm, our 40s face Bridgend Street AFC.

It's been a fantastic year for all of our vets sides, and one more push could make it a season to remember. ❤️⚽

After initially deciding to close down the Pre-Academy, we’re delighted to announce a complete U-turn — the Pre-Academy is BACK and we’re determined to make it our best programme yet! 🔴⚽️

We’ve listened, reflected, and now we’re putting plans in place to create a successful environment, that helps every player develop and enjoy their football.

*What makes this year different?*

Training TWICE a week✅
Specialised Goalkeeper Sessions✅
Strength & Conditioning classes every 2–3 weeks✅ Futsal sessions every 2 weeks to improve technical ability and decision making✅
Realistic squad sizes — more minutes, more touches, and more individual focus for every player ✅
Position-specific coaching including striker masterclasses and defensive sessions to help players develop in their roles done ✅

*Our aim is simple:*

Create an environment where players improve, enjoy their football, and get the attention they deserve.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome players who want to develop, compete and be part of something positive this season.

Rhys holds a BA (Hons) in Sports Media and Communications.
