We were lying on bed one night when she turned toward me.

Wife: “Baby, I've discovered something.”

Me: “What is it this time?”

Wife: “I've noticed that whenever we make love before sleeping, I sleep like a baby.”

I laughed.

Me: “So?”

She moved closer, rested her head on my chest, and smiled.

Wife: “So, I want us to do it every night.”

I raised my head immediately.

Me: “Every night?”

Wife: “Yes, baby. Every single night.”

She kissed my cheek.

Wife: “I'm serious. Why are you looking at me like I've asked you to climb a mountain?”

She started laughing.

She playfully slapped my chest.

Wife: “And I'm giving you peace! You'll sleep better, I'll sleep better, and we'll be happier.”

Me: “What happens when I'm tired?”

She looked at me with a mischievous smile.

Wife: “Then I'll be very romantic until you change your mind.”

I sat up.

Me: “Please, let's negotiate this thing like adults.”

She burst out laughing.

Wife: “Fine. How many nights can you handle?”

Me: “Two.”

She immediately shook her head.

Wife: “Three.”

Me: “Two!”

Wife: “Five nights a week, and you get the weekends to recover.”

I stared at her.

Me: “Recover from what? Am I going to war?”

She buried her face in the pillow, laughing.

But when she lifted her head, her expression was serious.

Wife: “Baby, I love being close to you. I want us to enjoy each other. Is that so bad?”

I looked at her affectionate face and sighed.

Me: “Fine. Five nights. But if I start looking like a man who hasn't slept in three days, you're explaining it to the doctor.”

She kissed me.

Wife: “Deal!”

I should have known that agreeing to that deal would become one of the biggest mistakes of my married life.

Yo creo que deberían prohibir a médicos del IMSS tener prácticas privadas mientras trabajen en el Instituto y que sea un delito hacer que los derechohabientes vayan a sus consultorios privados bajo el pretexto de que "no hay insumos" o "no hay citas"
