First, THANK YOU to everyone sharing the word about bringing back #ByeByeBunny! The response has been overwhelming—I even had a reporter call me this morning!
I can’t share many details, but if we get to finish it, I’d love to see the whole crew return. ❤️

Three Marvel legends left us in 2026, but their work will outlive generations ❤️🕊️
Sal Buscema — One of Marvel’s great workhorse artists, Buscema spent decades giving movement and personality to heroes across the universe. His long runs on The Incredible Hulk and The Spectacular Spider-Man became defining versions of those characters for generations of readers. His dynamic action made even a single punch feel enormous.
Gerry Conway — Few writers changed Spider-Man history as dramatically. Conway wrote The Night Gwen Stacy Died and co-created The Punisher, while also helping create characters including Firestorm, Power Girl, Jason Todd and the original Ms. Marvel. He was only 19 when he succeeded Stan Lee as writer of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Will Murray — A lifelong student of pulp and comic history who became part of Marvel history himself. With Steve Ditko, Murray co-created Squirrel Girl in 1991, an initially overlooked character who eventually became a cult favorite. Beyond Marvel, he spent decades keeping classic heroes like Doc Savage, The Shadow, The Spider and The Destroyer alive for new readers.
One drew the heroes.
One wrote stories that changed them forever.
One created perhaps Marvel’s most unlikely fan favorite.
They’re gone, but every time Hulk smashes across a Buscema page, Punisher’s skull appears, or Squirrel Girl enters the fight, part of their work is still moving forward. 🕯️

We just lost another legend today 😔
The acclaimed comic book writer, novelist, journalist and pulp historian has passed away at 73, leaving behind a career that stretched from classic pulp adventures to the Marvel Universe.
Will Murray spent much of his life keeping forgotten heroes alive, then accidentally created one Marvel could never forget.
Comic fans will know Murray best as the creator of Doreen Green / Squirrel Girl, introduced alongside Steve Ditko in Marvel Super-Heroes #8 in 1991. Marvel initially had little interest in continuing the character, only for Squirrel Girl to return years later and become one of the company’s most unlikely fan favorites.
But Murray’s legacy went much deeper. He devoted decades to preserving and continuing characters from pulp fiction history, becoming particularly associated with Doc Savage and The Destroyer.
He spent his career looking backward to preserve pulp history while also creating something new enough to survive him.
Rest in peace, Will Murray. The stories he kept alive, and the squirrel-loving hero he helped create, will keep his name on the page. 🕊️❤️
