Half centuries from the President (68) and Chairman (50) helped the seconds to a convincing winning draw against Packington today. We just couldn’t find the last wicket to get maximum points.
The Seconds are promoted!!! In a rain-affected match, we needed 191 to win off 28 overs. Mubeen (80*) and Jawaad (66) shared a rapid century stand to see us over the line. Truly amazing work! 🏏🏆
Thanks to @AshbourneCC for being brilliant hosts last night. Our team really enjoyed the game and your hospitality. @SPFSchools@SPFSport @EnergyTravelSpt
The Seconds had a good win at The Rec today. After posting 151/3 in the first innings, 14 year-old Oscar blew away the Castle Donington 1st XI, picking up 7-16, including 4 wickets in 4 balls!
Two years ago today we lost Richard Hill. Richard was the life and soul of Ashbourne Cricket Club and will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family today.
