60% of India’s citizens stand in support of our community animals. Finally, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India has listened and given a thoughtful message for community dogs. We now hold hope for his upcoming final decision that will protect these innocent lives.”

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Comes Openly to Save Dogs – Urges Sterilization, Not Removal

In a heartfelt stand for the voiceless, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has openly supported the cause of protecting community dogs, urging the nation to adopt sterilization and vaccination as the true, humane solution instead of forceful removal.

"Dogs are part of our community’s natural balance. For centuries, they have lived alongside us — guarding our streets, offering companionship, and silently serving as an important part of the environment. We must protect them with compassion, responsibility, and proper management. Sterilization and vaccination are the real answers, not displacement." — Mohan Bhagwat

This strong statement reinforces the growing sentiment among citizens, animal welfare groups, and compassionate leaders that community animals deserve care, respect, and coexistence, not cruelty. By advocating for sterilization drives, mass vaccinations, and public awareness, Bhagwat highlights that humanity’s greatness is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable beings @LiveLawIndia @barandbench @PMOIndia

20,000 people died from drunk driving- ban alcohol for everyone?

1856 people died from pothole accidents- jail all the municipal workers and politicians?

Why punish 10 lakh dogs for vanishingly few dog bite cases? Why this collective punishment on all dogs? Is this permissible under law and justice?

Animal lovers help identify and relocate aggressive dogs. We sterilise and vaccinate dogs with our own money. We run shelters because government doesn’t.

Government does god knows what with its funds for animal sterilisation!

Instead of coming down on rogue municipalities that don’t implement existing laws and mechanisms, judges decided to ignore previous Supreme Court judgments and statutes, and passed an unimplementable diktat that will unimaginable suffering and chaos.

They didn’t even bother to try to constitute a larger bench to overrule earlier judgements. Because dogs cannot protest?

The state of Indian judicial system.

I am sure this will not stand. As long as 10% people in this country has love and compassion in their hearts, they will protect the voiceless souls.

This judgement will go down as black history. An overwhelming over reach where judges dictated policy they don’t understand and didn’t bother to hear both sides.

The right thing to do: set up those shelters first. Then let’s talk about relocation.

Amicus and Sr Adv Gaurav Agarwal suggests sterilisation of stray dogs not enough, streets should be stray dogs free

[Press Trust of India @PTI_News]

VIDEO | All Creatures Great and Small (ACGS) volunteer and advocate Divyam Khera spoke on the Supreme Court's order to remove all stray dogs from the Delhi-NCR streets within 8 weeks. He says, "I think the court needs to have a holistic approach. There are rules and laws in place, but none of them are being followed. Why should animals suffer because of the systematic failure of the municipality? The shelters are in horrific condition, and there is no infrastructure to house all the dogs in Delhi at present. Basically, we are stuffing animals into death chambers, and I don’t think this is the right solution. I would urge the courts to adopt a more holistic and balanced approach."

If you are a resident of Delhi. Can I persuade you to adopt an indie off the streets, more than one? They are extremely healthy, low maintenance, and will provide you with more love affection and gratitude than you could ever imagine. Am also asking you to wholeheartedly and generously support your nearest animal welfare NGO. I plan on doing so, I hope you will too. As appeals are filed in court and processes take their time, it's important for our humanity to kick in immediately. Please do your part, big or small, it all adds up 🙏

[SUHEL SETH @Suhelseth]

A country that can’t care for its animals especially dogs is not a country that is compassionate.

The Supreme Court is so so wrong on this one. Said both as a dog lover and a proud Indian. Some one needs to file a review petition! Soonest…
