@Inevitablewest It's about time someone did something, although destroying buses isn't going to help.
How do Brits effect change? The politicians need to go!
@PeterMcCormack The more people rely on the state the more people vote for it, then the bigger the state gets more people get sucked into relying on the state. We're in a doom spiral. How do we break it?
Personally I don't think we can before it collapses. Save yourself. Buy Bitcoin!
@1974PJM@BBCPolitics@BBCNews I dismantled your points with logic. You got sensitive, truth hurts when it conflicts with a belief system you're committed to. Goodbye.
@1974PJM@BBCPolitics@BBCNews You suggested investing in renewables instead of producing oil, which is typical environmentalist dogma.
Virtually every assertion you've made has been incorrect. So I feel it quite likely that your reasoning is compromised by ideology and lacks critical thinking.
@1974PJM@BBCPolitics@BBCNews You can do both.
However renewables don't make plastics fuel for planes, trucks, shipping. Even tarmac for roads comes from oil. Everything in modern society requires oil
We can and should become energy and oil independent and abundant.
Lose your ideology and become a realist
@1974PJM@BBCPolitics@BBCNews Benefits would indeed take a long time to realise but that doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. Basic economics, price is a relationship between supply and demand.
The government tax profits of oil and gas at 78% so long term this is an excellent source of additional revenue.
@1974PJM@BBCPolitics@BBCNews If there was no further reserves why would the government need to block further licences? Drilling is very expensive and risky, why would private companies be so willing to waste their time and money if there wasn't any there?
