🚨 BREAKING: Government of India Orders Immediate Takedown of Dhruv Rathee’s (@dhruv_rathee) Video.

The Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC), Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India, has passed an Order dated 15 July 2026 (Appeal No. 8321/2026) directing YouTube to remove the video titled “Can Hindus Eat Beef? | Kerala Story 2 Exposed” within 24 hours of receiving the Order.

Note: Although the order is dated 15.07.2026, it has been uploaded today (19 July 2026).

Key points from the GAC Order:

- The video contains deliberate and malicious statements insulting Bhagwan Shri Ram, Bhagwan Shri Krishna, and Sita Devi.

- It falsely claims they consumed meat (including deer meat) and alcohol, using distorted references from scriptures.

- Such content hurts the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus and is against societal harmony.

- YouTube’s arguments on “free speech” were not accepted. Freedom of expression comes with reasonable restrictions under Article 19(2) of the Constitution.

The order was issued after Hon'ble Delhi High Court’s direction on 3rd July 2026 to decide the appeal within 15 days.

Important: This observation and finding by the GAC that the video hurts religious sentiments will also have a strong bearing on the decision of the Ld. Magistrate before whom our petition seeking registration of FIR against Dhruv Rathee is pending for hearing on 10.09.2026.

Faith cannot be mocked under the garb of “content creation.” Justice is being delivered step by step.

In view of reports of a proposed march to Parliament by CJP on 20.07.2026 (Monday), Delhi Police hereby categorically clarifies that no permission has been sought or granted for any such protest march/procession.

Prohibitory order under Section 163 BNSS (erstwhile section 144 CrPC) is in force in the New Delhi District. *Accordingly, protest marches, processions, demonstrations and assemblies of five or more persons are strictly prohibited*, except at the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar, with prior permission.

As Parliament session is commencing from 20 July, strict security arrangements are in place to ensure public safety, security of protectees, and the protection of vital government installations.

Any person violating these prohibitory orders shall be liable for prosecution under Section 223 BNS and other applicable provisions of law.

Delhi Police appeals to all citizens to respect the law, refrain from participating in any unauthorised gathering or march, and cooperate in maintaining public peace, safety and security.
