@AcctsDaily The ATO really needs to address the Guardian decision. After a mere 40 odd years, surely they could have held off a few months on finalising the ruling so that the impact of Guardian could be considered. This has not helped to bring clarity to a complex issue.

@ato_gov_au TR 2022/4 finalised 8 Dec. Full Fed Court decision in Guardian AIT appeal handed down 24 Jan. Important issues in Guardian that have a bearing on the ruling. Why not wait to finalise the ruling? Supposed to provide clarity. Instead has just created more confusion!

@austlii As an accountant, I do alot of reading and find it invaluable to go to the source to better understand the subject matter of an article. It can be incredibly difficult to track down the case, legislative reference, press release, etc and often lament the absence of a simple link.

@VictorianCHO There is a clear requirement for office workers to be fully vaccinated.

However, there is no guidance on vaccination requirements for visitors to offices. Eg a client visiting an accountant or lawyers office.

Some guidance here will be much appreciated.
