More people are turning to cannabidiol (CBD) cannabis strains to help with the side-effects of pregnancy.

We are thrilled to announce that our study investigating the impact of oral cannabis consumption on pregnancy outcomes and fetal development is now published at @eBioMedicine part of Lancet Discovery Science ! This work was led by our talented previous student, Tyrah Ritchie!✨
We found that oral consumption of cannabis during pregnancy led to impaired maternal artery remodelling and restricted fetal growth development in mice. Further, detrimental consequences were long-lasting as offspring showed behavioural changes later in life.
While CD56 expression could be used to indicate a hyper-functional state of NK cells, it does not directly influence the anti-tumor functions of expanded NK cells @jlb_journal Congrats, @Ana_LPortillo! @Ashkar_Lab

Why does covalency matter? Here we develop a new covalent #inducedproximity system that activates T cell tumoricidal function through stabilized ternary complexes. Covalency is observed to uniquely enforce immune receptor activation signaling events! https://t.co/N3Y3CgTD7D
Check out the latest issue of Immunological Reviews on innate immunity (with an adaptive twist!) where @JosefowiczLab and I convinced a bunch of talented colleagues to contribute.

We are super proud to announce that three of our students have been awarded external awards! 👏 Congrats to Amelia and Alexa for winning CGS-M awards! Congrats to Misaal for wining an OGS award to support the second year of her MSc!
Excited to share my very first publication! Thanks Maz for giving me the chance to write about innate immune memory- a new concept to us, but an ancient phenomenon.
Our latest review is now available at Immunological Reviews! We discuss how "Metabolic adaptations determine whether natural killer cells fail or thrive within the tumor microenvironment". Congrats to co-first authors Adnan Moinuddin, Sophie Poznanski, and @Ana_LPortillo!
Congratulations to our PhD student for their recents awards! 🥳 @Emily_YF_Feng was awarded a CSI Travel Award and the MIRC Travel Award! @Ana_LPortillo was awarded the W.E. Rawls Memorial Scholarship and the Alyssa Vito Scholarship in Cancer Research! 👏
