You’ve probably heard: Pyth Network has 125 data publishers (including major players in the scene)

>> But here’s the twist: Pyth doesn’t blindly trust any of them.

Here’s how it works (and why it matters):

1️⃣ More Voices = More Accuracy
Pyth collects prices directly from exchanges, trading firms, and market makers.
But instead of just averaging, Pyth checks every price and filters out the outliers.
If one publisher submits a very unlikely number, it gets ignored.

2️⃣ Confidence Matters
Each publisher includes a "confidence range" with its price (how tight or loose it is).
Pyth weighs inputs with tighter confidence more heavily.
Or in short:
Big liquid exchanges = more weight
Noisy, low-confidence sources = less weight

3️⃣ Everything Happens On-Chain
All of this happens on Pythnet (Pyth's own blockchain).
Each price, each confidence range, each final value is fully transparent and auditable.
No off-chain components. Less manipulation.

4️⃣ Pull - Don't Push
Unlike some older oracles that constantly push updates even when no one needs them, Pyth uses a Pull approach.
Apps only pull the fresh data when they need it.
Less noise. Less congestion. Efficient.
