I have a belief. There was a movie made around 1960 that, to me, showed exactly where most of us all are at this point in our lives, which your post points to.
And...how to solve it, individually!

The movie?
DELIVERANCE.

The mountain men were mirrors, and they reflected
the suppressed unconscious of the canoeing high-level executives back to them into awareness.
Not good! Suppression of feelings, for one. Their feelings were never developed. Must be maybe 6 years old! As the hippies once said, "let it all out", and by golly they all sure did!
All of the 10+ million-year-old animal behavior now came to the surface.

At the end of the movie, there was a "real" clip showing mountain people moving a church up the hill to higher ground as a dam was going to soon flood the low part of the church property, thus flooding the church.

The solution is to have a higher vantage point in your life. Have something higher and greater than you in your life. Be it God, or Soul: gotta hold that compass of life away from your iron belt buckle!
Have something greater than "you", to follow.

I have a theory that, since Covid, people have increasingly lost the capacity to emotionally regulate themselves and have largely turned to unconscious energy vampirism as a result. as a spiritual person, never in my life have I felt the need to protect my energy from THIS many people, THIS often.

Does anybody else feel like life never really went back to normal after 2020?

And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or any of the political debates. I mean the feeling of life itself.

Everything technically returned to "normal." The stores reopened. The roads got busy again. People went back to work. Life kept moving.

But something still feels different.

The years seem to pass faster than ever. Friendships feel more distant. Conversations feel shorter. People seem more distracted, more exhausted, and less present.

It’s hard to explain because nothing obvious is missing.

Yet somehow it feels like we lost something important along the way.

Life used to feel slower. More connected. More genuine. There was a sense of optimism, excitement, and possibility that’s difficult to describe now.

Maybe we're all just getting older.

Or maybe 2020 changed people in ways we're still trying to understand.

I can't put my finger on exactly what was lost.

I just know that life used to feel a lot more alive than it does today.

So the move is simple. Stop treating mushrooms like a garnish. Put them on the plate every day.
