We need to be advocates for ALL of the children in our classrooms. By banning books, specifically LGBTQ+ books, it sends the message that those children/families are wrong and must be erased. We must do better. Be the good in the world!

Banning books, LGBTQ+ books specifically, only silences our marginalized student's existence. Like u, I stand with the banned. A quote I recently read on Facebook says it all-"I survived reading banned books and all I got was smarter!"

Last school year alone, there were more than 2,500 instances of book bans in more than 5,000 schools. Sadly, of those bans, over 50% involved books with LGBTQ+ themes and characters. What can be done to stop this madness?! We need to be our students biggest advocates...
@ButlerTayl Hi, Taylor! I'm so tired of EVERYTHING going right back to test scores! Isn't it exhausting? I know my students who are gifted would love a chance to meet in a morning club in a small group setting. It's sad that all of the extra attention only goes to a select few.
1. Florida teachers are being told to remove all books from their classroom libraries OR FACE FELONY PROSECUTION
The new policy is based on the premise that teachers are using books to "groom" students or indoctrinate them with leftist ideologies.
