@pbd_06@zhixuan_wei@IIT_ARC_413_568 I think it is both by choice and liking looking at the amount of effort taken in designing the smallest of details and a way of financial strategizing.
So when you do product design, what would you say is the main difference that you find in it and architectural practice, apart from the scale of the project? #iitpropractice@IIT_ARC_413_568@radutnyarch
@pbd_06@IIT_ARC_413_568 Looking at their website it is clear that designing objects (product design) for @radutnyarch comes under their Architecture practice and to some extent the process and challenges of design for both would be same, the scale being the only difference.
The way you started your practice is commendable. Were the challenges that you faced then, the reason for you to take up projects majorly responding to some kind of social issue? #iitpropractice@LATENT_DESIGN@IIT_ARC_413_568
@ZhanhangX@IIT_ARC_413_568 Along with the social aspect of their practice, I feel that their practice has an even larger contribution in making an individual be a part of some form of art be it by their designs of spaces or products.
@LATENT_DESIGN @afogel94 @IIT_ARC_413_568 So has there been an increase in the acceptance levels and are people now more welcoming towards such ideas? Also do you think it'll be the next Architectural trend that follows for not only commercial but all building typologies?
@pbd_06@chenchenwu_arch@IIT_ARC_413_568 Also when the design or art is approachable, it makes it easier for the people to feel it and eventually interpret it in their own way, giving it a personal connect, giving the artist a reaction. #iitpropractice
@MinchulKim5@IIT_ARC_413_568 Also has it ever happened that you would have had to let go of some asthetic aspects or design strategy to avoid exceeding the budget?
@pbd_06@IIT_ARC_413_568 Yes there must be a lot of challenges that arise in the process of finding a balance between the two, what are those and how do you deal with them?
@K5Yamazaki@IIT_ARC_413_568 That is a very interesting aspect about @studiogang 's work. And it would be interesting to know what are the most common difficulties in MEP that come with complex forms and aesthetics?
@kfkhan11 @IIT_ARC_413_568 Be it a personal venture or not, I would still like to know what you feel about an architect's role in dealing with these type of issues.
I wanted to know that when you have to work on projects like redoing the Strand Hotel, which have a iconic status, how do you maintain the originality yet get something new to the table? #iitpropractice#johnsonandlee@IIT_ARC_413_568
What is your point of view on the controversies raised about 'The James.R.Thompson Center.' Given the federal nature of the Thompson Center project, how does a historic preservation strategy involving commerce and expansion fit the building? #iitpropractice@IIT_ARC_413_568
@afogel94 @IIT_ARC_413_568 I agree about the unthought 'aha' moment in the design process @ProPracticeJAR Also, I feel that the contribution a particular design stage made in the decision making for the project is something that would govern it being documented.
@IIT_ARC_413_568@funarchitect What was the driving force or ideology behind making Architecture is FUN? What is the main difference between you and your competitors?
