Hi @SydneyWaterNews there was very low pressure when we woke up around 6am, and then a complete outage for the last few hours. This is in the Parramatta/Westmead area. An update would be much appreciated, please.
@NBN_Australia the planned maintenance in my area has morphed into an almost 20 hour unplanned outage. I assume you’re working to restore the service but it would be good to get an update. Is it likely to be fixed tonight, or should I be making different plans for the weekend?

On Friday the govt announced its plan to radically change uni fees, and the headlines rightfully focussed on those 110% hikes to humanities degrees.
But now the full plan is out and the real story is clear: this is a massive defunding of tertiary education. THREAD.
Terrific initiative by @Sydney_Uni students supported by my colleague Laurent Rivory to design face shields for frontline health workers to fight a pandemic https://t.co/uiQvpUyFjK via @smh
We need to work with government on the future of HE in Australia but what's wrong with saying the humanities are somehow less valuable to the country *now* is that the opposite is true. Every challenge we face requires the skills and knowledge the humanities cultivate.
South Australian police give an exemption to allow the #blacklivesmatteraustralia rally in Adelaide tomorrow to go ahead. Meanwhile in NSW the Government is taking its own citizens to court to stop peaceful protest. What the?!
(Proud & thankful for being a South Australian today)

In the midst of a health crisis I would have thought a competent government would have had plans to allocate our nursing workforce to where they are needed. Instead it’s a shambles. https://t.co/HsKQqT4KtQ
