🚨 Major Burglary Case Detected by Bhanjanagar Police 🚨

Bhanjanagar Police successfully detected a burglary case registered as Bhanjanagar P.S. Case No. 595/2026 and arrested four accused persons involved in a series of thefts.

Accused Persons Arrested:
1. A. Puturaju
2. M. Muna
3. A. Nagaraju
4. Jitu Nahak

Police Recovered:
🔸 Gold ornaments – 66.70 grams
🔸 Silver ornaments – 2.880 kg

The accused are also involved in multiple burglary cases under Tarasing, J.N. Prasad and Buguda Police Stations.

All accused have been forwarded to the Hon'ble Court.

#WATCH | Odisha: Prateek Singh, Puri SP, says, "Today, on the auspicious occasion of Snana Purnima, we are witnessing lakhs of devotees arriving to seek the Lord's blessings; keeping this in mind, comprehensive arrangements have been put in place. Measures for crowd control—both inside and outside the temple—as well as arrangements for traffic, parking, and VIP visits have all been organised. A total force of 79 platoons has been deployed, supported by senior officers, including four officers of Commandant rank and others of various ranks. Special teams—such as the STF and ODRAF—along with fire services, ambulances, and first-aid facilities, are all in place. CCTV surveillance has been set up inside and outside the temple, at the shelter sheds, and at other key locations. Ganjam Police busted an illegal money lending racket and arrested the accused, Laxman Kumar Pani (56) of Mamudiha, in connection with Aska PS Case No. 339, dt 26.06.2026 U/s 316(2)/318(4)/308(2) BNS. The accused was running unauthorized lending activities for several years by keeping public assets as mortgage.

In connection with P.S. Case No. 254 dated 21.06.2026 U/S 303(2) BNS, Chatrapur Police recovered a stolen iron grill gate weighing 300 kg, which had been stolen from the Kalyan Mandap at Village Karatali.

During the investigation, police also seized the Bolero Pickup vehicle used in the commission of the offence.

Two accused persons have been arrested, forwarded to the Hon’ble Court.

The prompt recovery of the stolen property reflects the continued commitment of Ganjam Police towards effective crime detection and public safety.

🚨 Major NDPS Seizure by Beguniapada Police 🚨

Beguniapada Police achieved a significant success against drug trafficking by detecting an NDPS case vide P.S. Case No. 336 dated 25.06.2026 u/s 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act.

During the raid, police intercepted an auto-rickshaw and seized 44 kg 800 grams of contraband ganja being illegally transported. Two accused persons were arrested and forwarded to the Hon'ble Court.
