Gengar artworks by Aya Kusube from the 1999 Pokémon Tales book “Gengar’s Shadow” are so underrated.

The early 2010s era of wokeness had me thinking these sidewalks/murals/etc were a bit naff and performative and overall pointless. Turns out I was wrong. The removal of these is essentially a declaration of hatred. A demand to the return of concealment. Never give them an inch.

How ironic is it that a video delivering a message about the dangers of addiction, escapism and loneliness is almost entirely referenced/used for the sexual imagery despite the fact the video is a warning against using escapism to fulfill your romantic and sexual fantasies in place of actual IRL relationships.
