To everyone who came out for the Abuja Million March despite the restrictions, obstacles and efforts to prevent our gathering, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, resilience and belief in the possibility of a New Nigeria.
You came out when it would have been easier to stay home. You stood firm when circumstances sought to discourage you. You reminded us that the desire for a better Nigeria cannot be silenced by fear, intimidation or obstacles to peaceful civic participation.
To every NDC candidate, the entire Obidient family, our support groups, networks, coordinators, volunteers and leaders across the board, I salute you. To everyone who believes in the presidency of Mr. Peter Obi and the aspirations of all NDC candidates, I am deeply proud of you.
Today was about more than a march. It was a declaration that the Nigerian people will not surrender their future to hopelessness, poverty, insecurity or political exclusion. We recognise the difficulties that confronted today's mobilisation. Yet, our commitment to peaceful and lawful democratic participation remains unshaken. Democracy must make room for opposition, dissent and the peaceful expression of alternative visions for our country. No society can progress when citizens are made to feel afraid of exercising their legitimate rights.
Our responsibility is clear, to demand accountable leadership, defend democratic freedoms and work towards a Nigeria where every citizen can live with dignity, security and opportunity.
I am proud of every one of you who travelled, mobilised, contributed resources, organised communities and stood alongside fellow Nigerians. Whether your contribution was visible to the world or made quietly behind the scenes, you are an important part of this movement, and your sacrifices matter.
As we move forward, let our resilience be matched by discipline, our passion by organisation, and our courage by wisdom. Let us continue building bridges across ethnic, religious and political divides, organising our communities and strengthening our commitment to a nation that works for all.
On behalf of the wider Obidient family, thank you for showing up, standing firm and refusing to give up on Nigeria. May today's experience strengthen our unity, sharpen our strategy and deepen our resolve.
Our journey continues. Our resolve remains firm. Our responsibility to Nigeria remains undiminished.
A NEW NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE!
