Wenn man sieht, wie eine alte Frau in der Ukraine 🇺🇦 unter Tränen evakuiert wird, bricht das einem das Herz 💔. Man vergisst viel zu schnell, dass es gerade die älteren Menschen sind, die am Ende ihres Lebens stehen und plötzlich alles aufgeben müssen, was sie sich jemals aufgebaut haben.
Wenn man mal darüber nachdenkt, was diese Generation in ihrem Leben schon alles durchgemacht hat: Die Schrecken und Nachwirkungen des Zweiten Weltkriegs, die Jahrzehnte unter der Sowjetunion, in denen die Ukrainer bitterster Unterdrückung und dem Terror des Regimes ausgesetzt waren, die Katastrophe von Tschernobyl und jetzt dieser brutale Krieg. Für sie ist das ja nicht das erste Mal, dass sie so ein unfassbares Leid durch Ruzzland 🇷🇺 ertragen müssen.
Wie viel Schmerz und Last kann ein Mensch eigentlich auf seinen alten Schultern tragen? Eigentlich sollten sie ihren Lebensabend in Frieden und Sicherheit verbringen dürfen – und stattdessen werden sie im hohen Alter zum wiederholten Mal aus ihrer Heimat und ihrem Zuhause gerissen.

Vielleicht haben wir hier im sicheren Europa über die langen Jahre des Friedens einfach verlernt, diese echte Empathie zu spüren, weil uns all das so unvorstellbar weit weg erscheint.

Ukrainian language is very different from russian

I remember when I first came to the US, people used to ask me if I spoke russian. They were asking if Ukrainian was a dialect of russian. And it would take me so much time to explain that russians don’t understand our language at all.

The lexical similarity between Ukrainian and russian languages is only 62%. It’s like difference between French and Portuguese. The languages close to Ukrainian in order of similarity: Belarusian (84%), Slovak (70%), Polish (64%), and only then russian.

Today, the world sees the stark difference between Ukrainians and russians. I hope that never again will somebody ask me if Ukrainian language is the same as russian.

Це рука Сергія Сови. Жовто-блакитний браслет на ній упізнав весь світ. А його дружина Оксана впізнала чоловіка.

Сергій воював у 93-й бригаді "Холодний Яр". Пройшов Піски, Донецький аеропорт, найгарячіші точки Донбасу ще з 2014 року.

Коли почалася велика війна, він знову був на контракті. Міг залишитися в тилу - але попросився до своїх.

"Його серце рвалося до “Холодного Яру”. Йому постійно треба було в пекло", - каже Оксана.

Він не міг дивитися, як росіяни вбивають цивільних. Казав: "Жодного метра нашої землі".

19 квітня 2022 року Сергій зателефонував дружині востаннє. "Оксано, все дуже складно, у нас втрати, сили неспівмірні, але ми будемо стояти тут до кінця".

О 10 ранку почався важкий бій.
Більше він не вийшов на зв'язок.

П'ять місяців його вважали зниклим безвісти. Родина чекала. Син Марат щодня дивився карту, як наші війська просуваються на Харківщині.

А потім він знайшов російський канал, де публікували фото загиблих українських воїнів.

На тому фото лежав його тато - роздягнений, зі зв'язаними руками. "Я впізнав його лише за татуюваннями. У мене почалася істерика, мені було тоді 14 років".

Після деокупації Ізюма в лісі знайшли масові поховання. 447 тіл. Серед них - Сергій Сова.

В інтернеті розлетівся знімок руки з жовто-блакитними браслетами. Їх подарував татові Марат ще у 2014 році. І Сергій ніколи їх не знімав.

Тоді 14-річний Марат сів і написав листа президенту.

"Це рука мого батька Сови Сергія Олександровича, воїна та захисника 93-ї бригади “Холодний Яр”, нікопольця, який боровся за свободу нашої країни з 2014 року. Дуже прошу вас посприяти поверненню мого тата додому для гідного поховання. Я ним дуже пишаюсь!"

Оксана каже, що це був крик душі. "Жити у невідомості складно, але побачити таке - ще гірше. У мене все обірвалося всередині".

9-річній доньці Еліні вона сказала: "Нам треба готуватися до того, що батько буде захищати нас із неба".

Посмертно Сергію Сова надали звання Героя України.

Зараз Марат мріє побувати в Ізюмі та пройтися вулицею Сергія Сови. Коли наші воїни виженуть окупантів остаточно.

Він віддав життя за нас. Ми не маємо права забути його ім'я.
