We conducted a study of the print press on the disgusting #Annecy stabbings

We noticed:

1. The faith of the perpetrator (Christian) or what he said ('in the name of Jesus Christ') was not in any headline
2. None called it terror/ism
3. It was not linked to wider narratives

In al-Quds, they ask about performing ṣalāt without wudhū!
After they were tortured, detained and tied up, and put on their faces, some of those doing i'tikāf asked Shaykh Idrīs about performing prayers without wudhū, as the Fajr adhān was called and they were still tied up on the ground.
The Shaykh responded: This issue is known in Islamic legal text books as 'The situation of the one who cannot purify himself either way' since he cannot perform either wudhū or tayammum. In such a case, the Law allows him to perform the prayer as he is, in whatever way he can, and there is no need for him to make it up afterwards.
And I pray that Allah confers on you much reward for all of the suffering inflicted on you and in your helping His religion and protecting Masjid al-Aqsa." End translation.
