Two headlines 👇🏻 that shows the duplicity of politicians who convinced disabled people they were on our side for votes. So Labour govt could enact biggest cuts in history. Never forget, never forgive. Vote them out. Punishing MPs for not wanting to punish disabled. #TakingThePIP
day 12: how are disabled people meant to feel safe and secure when you’re cutting our benefits and pushing through assisted dying at the same time??? #AskingLabour
Everyone should feel safe and secure at home, which is why security is the foundation of my Plan for Change.
My government is making serious, long-term investment in our armed forces, creating thousands of jobs and supporting working people across the country.
day 11: @Keir_Starmer why do you think this is an acceptable policy, or way for your ministers to behave towards disabled people? #AskingLabour#TakingThePIP
DWP minister said: ‘People like yourselves, with support, you could go to work.’ A few minutes later, Passeri was lying passed out on the meeting-room floor.
“He had no idea what to do with this woman lying on the floor who he had just told to get a job.” https://t.co/b5kgLHghNg
day 10: there are no other benefits for many disabled people @Keir_Starmer - as the only significant non-means tested disability benefit, for those of us who live with partners/carers/family, PIP is how we maintain our independence. why are you trying to stop that? #AskingLabour
MPs are floating a “transition period” to soften the blow of PIP cuts—so claimants can move onto “other benefits.” That’s fantasy. PIP is to be the gateway. Lose it, and you lose access to nearly all other benefits. That’s the cliff’s edge.
Here are some things you can do to help convince the government to scrap plans to cut disability benefits

Keep posting using #TakingThePIP + show them we wont be ignored
We are a campaign led by disabled people in the public eye joining together to tell @Keir_Starmer and @leicesterliz to scrap the inhumane disability benefits cuts
Join us and tell the government to stop #TakingThePIP https://t.co/DfZ3gJrpBA
This is horrendous.
"Hundreds of thousands of children with special needs could lose their legal entitlement to extra support in schools in England under plans being considered by ministers"

Absolutely devastated to share the news that a decision by #AccessToWork to cut the support that enables me to work by 61% means that as of today I am not able to do my job. We are challenging the decision & our team will keep working but without the right support I can't work
day four: do you have any comment on the fact that PIP has an estimated annual economic benefit of £42 billion and that cutting thousands of claimants off will not only cause untold suffering, but also damage the country’s economy? @Keir_Starmer@leicesterliz@RachelReevesMP
Warning issued by dozens of experts that Labour's DWP cuts will lead to premature deaths
38 experts have warned that Labour's DWP cuts could 'drive people into deeper poverty, damage mental health' and worse #WelfareNotWarfare#CutsKill

What Labour are saying is:
We will make 500,000 disabled people almost destitute, up to 500,000 carers will lose carers allowance while also pushing over 50,000 children into poverty so spending power drops all to 'grow the economy'.
None of it makes sense, it has to be stopped
