A federal judge tried to box in the State Department and stop a visa freeze aimed at countries that have exported fraud, welfare dependence, and security risk. The answer was not a press conference. It was a broader pause that put every immigrant visa file under the same public-charge screen.

That is what serious enforcement looks like. If nationality-based limits get tossed, the standard applies everywhere, allies included. No carve-outs, no special pleading, no assumption that an approved petition is the same thing as a right to enter.
