@OilersSingh13@DavidStaplesYEG They don’t put up for sale signs, they put up sold signs. Especially on the corner lots. Nothing going on with the non-corner lots - yet.
@OilersSingh13@DavidStaplesYEG I own a corner lot. I think my house could be turned into three affordable single family homes. I think that the non-corner lots could support two affordable single family homes. I feel 15-20 people, and their cars, is too much for one lot.
@OilersSingh13@DavidStaplesYEG I think that’s a lot of people smushed into a small space. I think one of the unintended consequences of this is that they’re tearing down affordable homes that people could purchase and turning them into rental units that developers can churn profit off.
@OilersSingh13@DavidStaplesYEG Don’t call me a racist because I don’t want massive, ugly buildings popping up all over my neighbourhood. That’s a real simpleton argument.
@unusual_whales Canada owns these and is choosing to sell them before their value drops. Seems like a reasonable thing to do considering the current political environment.
