Archived: Former Assemblymember for the 38th District, encompassing the communities of the Santa Clarita Valley, Simi Valley, and north San Fernando Valley.
We were pleased to welcome Assemblymember-Elect Suzette Valladares for a productive transition meeting. With so much at stake for local residents during this crisis, we share a commitment to putting our constituents first. My team and I wish her the best of luck. #AD38
A safe and happy Thanksgiving to all here in #AD38! I am thankful for having been able to serve as your Assemblymember for these past two years and grateful to be able to call you all my neighbors.
Deepest condolences to Don & their family. Cheri Fleming was a gracious, determined fighter for those who needed a champion. A philanthropist with a heart of gold and a business leader who proved daily that women in power can be a force for good. She will be missed.
May we honor them in promoting the spirit of togetherness and committing ourselves to action. Our thoughts are with their families and all Saugus Centurions. May we be #SaugusStrong for them. (2/2)
It’s a solemn day in our community as we reflect on the devastating loss of Dominic Blackwell and Gracie Muehlberger just one year ago in the senseless tragedy at Saugus. Their smiles are forever engrained in our memory. (1/2)

A beautiful ceremony once again by our local veteran service organizations and the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District to honor Simi Valley’s brave men and women of uniform on this Veterans Day. Thank you for including my team in the celebration.
Our veterans in #AD38 exemplify the very best in our community and country, putting service above self. We are indebted to you for your sacrifice. Today and every day, I wish you a Happy Veterans Day and thank you for your service.
Starting tomorrow, free antibody testing will be available in Simi Valley and throughout Ventura County over the next two weeks. For more information, visit https://t.co/vqmetN0QQs
We had a great turnout at our last Santa Clarita Valley food distribution and hope to serve as many residents at our next event. Please encourage your neighbors in need to join us on Nov. 10 at Castaic Lake so we can fill their pantry with groceries.
Over the course of this past year, our first responders have been put to the test time and time again from wildfires to COVID-19. Our communities of the 38th are standing strong because of your selfless service. Thank you on this #NationalFirstRespondersDay and every day.
What a great morning! Honored to swear-in the newest Board of Directors for the @ChildFamilyCent and join @santaclarita leaders at this year’s State of the City. Your perseverance and determination to the betterment of our community during these difficult times is so appreciated!
TODAY is the last day for the Census! Because of you, #AD38’s self-response rate is already 2% above last Census, but let’s not stop there! Every person counts towards getting our district’s fair share of resources, so be sure to #BeCounted at

In just a few minutes, the Great CA #Shakeout will be taking place, encouraging you and those around you to practice earthquake safety on this 3rd Thursday of October! But don’t forget — you can practice earthquake safety, including prepping kits, year round to be best prepared!
I started my local education advocacy by starting a non-profit for investment in tech for students. The COVID crisis demands that we work quickly to ensure statewide that no child is left behind due to the digital divide.
