@GovPressOffice @CAgovernor Thank you for your leadership!

BREAKING: @CAGovernor Gavin Newsom just signed new legislation to prevent public officials from issuing meme coins, protect consumers, hold bad actors accountable, and recover money for victims.

This comes while the Trump admin displays an unprecedented amount of corruption and self-dealing — including through Donald Trump’s very own meme coin which has lost Americans billions.

Public office is not a business opportunity. I’m proud that Governor Newsom signed my bill, AB 2409, the Canceling Crypto Corruption Act, into law. This first-of-its-kind law bans California public officials from launching meme coins or profiting from their image while in office.

When Governor Newsom said he wanted to help boys and men, he was being serious. Here's another proof point: signing the first-ever legislation focused on tackling suicide rates among boys & young men in California. Thank you Governor, & @AsmValencia for leading this initiative.

🥞 Grateful to have joined Mayor Amezcua and Councilmembers Bacerra and Penaloza at the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.

These opportunities to be united are so powerful and remind us all of the work that still needs to be done to better our community.

It was a true honor to be part of the inaugural Native American Heritage Month Parade. Looking forward to next year’s parade.
