ICYMI: in light of a historic victory for Staten Island Amazon workers in their quest to unionize against the most powerful (and hostile to labor) corporation on earth, I thought I'd talk about organizing against capitalism; for labor AND socialism:

Thank you. I believe I'll be fine; there's kind of a drag period where you can feel it coming on and I'm in it. If I just you know, rest up, this might not mean anything more than a day off. We'll see.
Pretty sick of this cycle tho, not gonna lie.
So, the bad news is that I've come up sick again; the good news is I'm just not gonna push myself until I collapse for a 1200 word post.
My bad folks, this is what I meant by "I have to manage this long covid stuff better or it'll be the end of me" - expect to be back tomorrow.

ICYMI: Yesterday we debuted a new current affairs podcast called Kropotkin's Barbershop
in the first episode, Bulls on Parade, Nina and the lads discuss the Kyle Rittenhouse and Amad Aubrey trials and contextualize them within Pig Empire white supremacy

ICYMI: we're back in the lab, with social media analysis about why war is a racket, and who the racketeers in the Pig Empire are, on NIDC:
"It does no good to pray for peace, while bathing yourself in profits from the black blood of war."

In light of the historic victory of Staten Island Amazon workers on Friday, I thought I'd go back to further explore what this moment means for labor, and anti-capitalism; check out this full length Mini-Skinny with a bonus bit reposted from Friday.

It's okay to celebrate a little when something good happens; I know it's rare, but that's just all the more reason to savor the moment. These folks are my heroes man.
Amazon workers in Staten Island voted to become the company’s first unionized U.S. workplace in a mammoth upset that would be one of organized labor’s biggest victories in decades https://t.co/06xDaM48ar
New today on Media Madness: with the growing success of the Starbucks Workers United campaign, we now have a union organization model for corporate chain environments, and proof that all workers are labor and *can* organize as such. Barista power at work:

Today's QotD post over on Can't You Read features insight on the relationship between racism, power, and capitalism, from one of America's most incisive thinkers, Kwame Ture.
I also wrote some analysis, but who cares, Ture is just that on point here:

Every war has winners and losers; even wars half a world away. What does it mean for a boiling planet when the winner is Big Oil? Nothing good for humanity.

"In the wake of this war, the promises of COP26 in Glasgow have clearly been all but forgotten."
Good morning folks; as it turns out our analysis is all over the place today, so I'm just gonna share the posts individually as I finish them. I have a system here, if I could ever learn to actually follow it. :)
Given that James Lindsay has again decided to make himself the main character here on Twitter, let's remember why you've ever heard of this guy and why he keeps getting on TV - hint, it's not because he's smart, it's because rich fascists and capitalists love the lies he tells.

"... this is not a meritocracy, but rather a never articulated form of aristocracy; none of these judges are employed because of what they can do, but rather because of who they know and what their politics look like."
Well well well; look what happens you actually plan out a morning writing session. New Mini-Skinny up on NIDC today; regardless of which "side" you back in this war, it's clear the labor class loses, and all the wrong people win:

Related and certainly worth the read:
"Adams’ policies also seem to be copied and pasted from Bratton-style policing from 30 years ago."

On that note; I couldn't help but notice that the new Dem Mayor of NYC recently announced both the expansion of his ongoing police state, and the destruction of 150 homeless encampments. Adams is a pig, but a society that dehumanizes the homeless, paves the way for dudes like him
New Profile Pic Update (although the one this account is using right now is rad, it doesn't belong to me, and I'm saving it in case the previous user returns when things are better for my work)
You should still be able to find links, and maybe panels quoting my work here over the next little while, and maybe one of my mates might volunteer to update this account on their spare time - but I can't even ask people right now, EVERYONE I know's life is falling apart.
