This is Barrett “Bear” Walsh. He was 2 years old.
His mother who is alleged to have murdered him had charges filed against her TODAY: 3 Counts of First Degree Murder.
Bear is the little boy at the center of a horrifying new case out of Frankfort, Illinois. His mother, 38-year-old Corie A. Walsh, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder in his death.
According to prosecutors, Bear was found in the basement with a ligature around his neck. A neighbor took him down and attempted CPR, but he could not be saved. Preliminary autopsy findings cited by prosecutors say he died from asphyxia caused by ligature compression of the neck.
Prosecutors also allege Walsh told officers she killed her son because she believed he was the “devil” and the “anti-Christ.” She was found elsewhere in the home with self-inflicted injuries. Three other children were unharmed.
And there is a disturbing connection to the Lindsay Clancy case.
Witnesses reportedly told investigators that Walsh had recently become very interested in Clancy’s murder trial. Prosecutors say she was discussing the case with friends in a group text at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday — roughly three and a half hours before Bear was discovered. Investigators are now conducting a forensic examination of her phone.
With all of the discussion that will inevitably surround Walsh, her mental state, the Clancy connection and the court proceedings, I don’t want this little boy to disappear behind his mother’s name.
His name was Barrett. His family called him Bear. He was 2 years old, and he should still be here.
🚨🇺🇸 CAR@LHO, QUE LAPADA! 🔥🔥🔥
CNN: “Este é um imigrante sem documentos...”
Miller: “Eles estavam aqui ILEGALMENTE?”
CNN: “Stephen, estamos tentando humanizar o debate...”
Miller: “Humanizar?
A CNN topa?”
BACK WHERE IT BELONGS — FLYING FREE!
We are so excited to share some wonderful news! The beautiful American Bald Eagle that was found injured in Milford Township, Butler County, a few weeks ago has been successfully rehabilitated and RELEASED BACK INTO THE WILD!
Shannon Frantz, Director of Rehabilitation for Raptor Inc., along with Jeff Hayes, Bird Bander/Raptor Specialist and Rehabilitation Volunteer Alex Kazimira, returned this incredible bird to the area where it was originally found, giving it the opportunity to find its way back home.
While we would have loved to invite the public to witness this amazing moment, there simply was not enough safe parking in the area to accommodate visitors. We know many of you were following this eagle's recovery and hoping for this very day.
Seeing this magnificent symbol of strength, freedom, and America spread its wings and soar freely again is something truly special.
We cannot thank the wonderful people at Raptor Inc. enough for the care, dedication, and expertise they provided to give this eagle a second chance.
From injured and unable to fly… to soaring high over Butler County once again.
Fly high. Fly free. Welcome home!

An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.
Yeah that’s not how greatness works, Jeff. India has 2X more people than the entire earth did in Mozart’s time and they’ve produced precisely zero Mozarts. Numbers don’t produce greatness, cultures do.
It’s baffling how such smart people think and say the stupidest things.
A young American hero. 🇺🇸
16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams courageously saved 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai on a California beach. Today, President Trump recognized him for his bravery in the Oval Office. ❤️
@TheDudeGolfs I played travel ball 12U and on. this is crazy. This looks like he’s committing to a D1 college. How does this impact kids expectations? I’m all for rec and select for the kids on another level. Let them still be kids. Parents just worry about sunscreen and snacks between games
@shoe0nhead@robbystarbuck Women like to boast about how incredible and strong they are for carrying children Which they are. But then, use those very reasons to cry about how hard it is and no one else gets it.
The “men bad, unless you experience X you can’t say anything” stance is so tired.
@shoe0nhead@robbystarbuck Every comment regarding this trial is about their experience with psych meds and/or postpartum. Or as some type of mental health or medical professional…. Rather than the crime. The facts. The law.
“Christian conservatives themselves are making these appeals to the Bible as justification for their actions and justifications for the laws they want to pass, without engaging with science or data as an explanation for those laws. Versus when you look at progressive candidates, for instance, there is typically: Here’s the data. Here’s what we know. Here’s why we’re proposing this, and this is how it works.”
No. The idea that a man can become a woman - or that a baby doesn’t have value - isn’t a factual one, it’s a religious one.
